A Liberal Accusation

Months ago upon learning in a online quiz that my 'inner European' is French *shudder*, I made a decision to boycott any type of online quiz. I was faithful in maintaining my boycott until this day. This morning on a blog comment thread, a poster characterized me as a 'liberal'. Her specific comment is as follows:

"Some of your blog posts are OK, Skye. However, you have a very nasty, simple minded, liberal attitude about this situation. There's not a doubt in my mind, that if not for Bush, many liberals like yourself, would be long gone off the face of this earth. Yet I still stand by our President. Amazing! People such as yourself (wolves in sheepish clothing) are to be feared much more than Bush. "

This comment was posted after she read my comments on this particular thread regarding FISA surveillance and perused my blog. I have been called many things in my lifetime, but never 'Liberal'. Outside of what I've written in my blog and on this comment thread, how do I counter this scandalous allegation? Quite easily! I took an online quiz entitled: The Democratic Loyalty Quiz. My quiz result may shock and awe some readers:

"Your score is 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a pure, unabashed, die-hard Republican loyalist. You remain fiercely dedicated to fighting the twin evils of terrorism and liberalism, and you'd walk across a field of land mines if it meant casting a deciding vote for a Republican president. In your view, there is no higher form of patriotism than defending America against the Democratic Party and every elitist, French-loving, religion-mocking, America-hating, terrorist-appeasing ideal for which it stands. "

This poster did apologize for her unwarranted outburst:

All right...I no longer have doubts about Skye's intentions. I was an ass about it. I went back and read more of her blog, and it changed my mind. Sorry:(Although, I am still worried some......

Of course, I graciously accepted her apology.

	Mike\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s America December 28, 2005 02:41 AM PST Don't feel bad Skye. I was called a RINO earlier this year. I'm worried about the state of mind of an individual that would call you a liberal. I'm not a big fan of those tests either. That one question regarding Michael Moore in a naked pyramid at Guantanamo struck me as an endorsement of TORTURE (for the others in the pyramid). Even if they put blubber boy on the bottom, the other pyramid participants will just slide right off. Someone could get injured. I'm ashamed to report I got a "1" on that test. YIKES!
