| Wordsmith September 20, 2005 02:24 AM PDT Me? I personally never want to "get over it". And if I did, no it wouldn't feel good. My life's moved on, but I haven't left behind those we lost. I blogged regarding someone I know who was on the 2nd plane to smash into the South Tower. Everytime I see a photo or video of Flight 175 crashing into the Building.....it's just excruciating. I'm seeing someone I know murdered along with his 3 year old. | ||
| RG September 13, 2005 11:25 AM PDT In Honor of George Bush If If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on"; If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son! | Robert September 12, 2005 04:02 PM PDT Skye, thanks for the reminder...we will never forget, partly because now we have this wonderful tool, the blogosphere,to help us keep in touch. Not only will WE not forget, I'm going to make sure that my boy understands what it means, and what he needs to know and do. | ||
| skye September 12, 2005 11:54 AM PDT Curt, WorstWeatherEver is an apt example of what liberals are trying to achieve by distorting or burying the memory of the victims of 9/11. It feels good when you detach any memory or emotion from the events of 9/11/01. For liberals, what matters most is if it feels good, then it must be the right thing to do! | ||
| Curt September 12, 2005 02:59 AM PDT Your almost over it? Our Country was attacked, 3000 of our civilians died and ur almost over it. I was shocked when I read that until I checked out ur blog and find our ur one of those schizolefties. Now I'm not that shocked. Just saddened that someone obviously so young can be so brainwashed. | ||
| Curt September 12, 2005 02:56 AM PDT At a loss for words after reading ur last commentor. "pretty much over it"? I just don't understand that. Our nation was attacked, close to 3000 civilians died, and your almost over it? But then I checked out ur blog and find out ur one of those lefties...I'm not so surprised anymore. Good luck with ur med's. | ||

| Monica-Philadelphia September 12, 2005 01:08 AM PDT I have gotten through the worst of the after effects. For about a year afterward I was afraid to go too far from home. It was a trip - sort of like a postpartum doldrum. Fear that didn't make any sense. Driving to West Chester to see a friend was scary for me - but I could do it. Flying to Denver was out of the question until almost a year passed. We have adjusted to our very different world. It changed irrevocably on 9/11. We will never forget though. Never, ever. | ||
| Worst Weather Ever September 12, 2005 12:57 AM PDT i think i realized today when i didnt remember it was 9/11 until almost noon that i'm pretty much over it. and that actually feels pretty good. | ||
