David Eick, executive producer, assures the fanbase that the political undertones will remain unchanged: "We're trying to mirror a more grounded reality, not a heightened reality," Eick says. "I think there's a political savvy to this show, an unflinching approach to the issues of the day and an unapologetic irreverence." The Philadelphia Inquirer recently published a review summarizing the attraction of this show and its reflection of modern day politics. Note the Abu-Ghraib reference. In addition, I have to give props to the Inquirer staff writer for noting Starbuck and Apollo as star-crossed lovers, reading that warmed my shipper heart . Those curious about the attraction of this show can link over to Patriot Resource where they can read detailed reviews of every episode since season one. |
| Wordsmith March 6, 2006 02:10 AM PST Thanks for the explanation. | ||
| Skye March 5, 2006 08:03 PM PST BSG Season 2 consists of 20 episodes. The season is then broken down into two groups of 10 episodes. The Sci Fi network bucks the convention of having a summer hiatus for it's series. Season 2.o commenced the first 10 episodes on July 15, 2005 and with a season finale on September 23. Season 2.5 picked up again on January 6th, 2006 and will close March 10. Season 3 will begin this July. Lee/Dee is just a plot device that I hope reveals Dee as a cylon. | ||
| Wordsmith March 5, 2006 05:52 PM PST Lee/Dee turns me off. I don't understand it. Why do these seasons seem so short? Can you explain the 2.5 to me? Does this mean season 3 will be starting....uh, when exactly? Or will there be a sooner 2.75? Haha... | ||
| The Troll March 5, 2006 01:27 PM PST I just like the show for the entertainment it provides | ||
| JM March 4, 2006 06:51 PM PST Freak out the fans on those BSG forums by "leaking" secret info on a hookup between Adama and Dee. | ||
| Skye March 3, 2006 10:49 PM PST Lee/Dee...soo dramatically boring! | ||
